First Poster For M. Night Shyamalan's GLASS and The Film Will Have a Comic-Con Panel
Director M. Night Shyamalan has shared the first poster for his highly anticipated film Glass, which is the third film in a trilogy that began with Unbreakable and continued with Split.
The filmmaker also revealed that he will be bringing Glass to San Diego Comic-Con in Hall H on July 20th. He'll be bringing the cast of the film with him and he says fans can expect a surprise. I imagine that surprise will be the premiere of the trailer that will be released.
I already saw some footage of the film at CinemaCon a few months ago and it was pretty damn awesome! The movie is going in a direction that I wasn't expecting. When talking about the film, the director said:
"In Spilt, I created the origin story for an anarchist that could be good or could be bad. The worlds of Unbreakable and Split finally collide in Glass. What if these real-life superheroes and supervillains are somehow locked up together? What could go wrong?"
He went on to say:
“Eighteen years ago I had this idea: What if comic books were based on reality? I tried to tell the story of superheros in the real world with David Dunn. Then two years ago, I got another crazy notion: What if the afflictions and disorders that everyone in society thinks make a person bad were actually gifts? And I created the origin story for an anarchist who could be good or bad.”
The story that the film will tell is fascinating as we see David Dunn (Bruce Willis), Mr. Glass (Samuel L. Jackson), and Kevin Crumb a.k.a The Beast (James McAvoy) in a psychiatric ward where Doctor Ellie Staple (Sarah Paulson) is treating them. Why? Because they all think they have superpowers.
For more details on the footage I saw, you can read it here. Glass premieres on January 18th, 2019.
