The CW has shared a poster for the upcoming reboot of Charmed , which will follow a new trio of magical sisters:  Macy (Madeleine Mantock) , Mel (Melonie Diaz) and Maggie (Sarah Jeffery) . The reboot was developed by Jennie Snyder Urman ( Jane the Virgin ), Jessica O'Toole and Amy Rardin ( Selfie ). The show was ordered to series at the beginning of the summer, following a pilot order in January, and is set to make its debut on The CW on Sunday nights, starting in October. The first episode of Charmed was screened at this year's San Diego Comic-Con , where the main cast members also made their debut during a panel that promised to "honor [the original] while bringing a modern twist." As the cast continues to fill out, Quentin Tarantino has found his Charles Manson for the upcoming film  Once Upon a Time in Hollywood . The film was once believed to revolve around the infamous Manson Family murders, but Tarantino has since clarified, saying that his next film is simply about Hollywood in 1969 and that Manson is only one element of the movie. This month has seen a lot of casting announcements for Tarantino's upcoming film. Earlier today it was announced that  Rafal Zawierucha had been cast as a young Roman Polanski . Mike Moh was also recently revealed to be playing Bruce Lee , after being cast in an undisclosed role earlier this year. With production under way on Star Wars 9 , it's been revealed that director J.J. Abrams ' longtime friend Greg Grunberg will return as his Star Wars: The Force Awakens character, Temmin "Snap" Wexley. The news isn't terribly surprising, since Grunberg has appeared in almost all of Abrams' projects. When it was announced that Abrams was returning to direct Star Wars 9, following the departure of Colin Trevorrow, most assumed Grunberg's return was imminent. Grunberg has been friends with Abrams since kindergarten, and much like how Ron Howard casts his brother Clint Howard in all of his movies, Grunberg's casting has become almost automatically assumed for every Abrams project. Glee  came to an end a little over three years ago. While other shows have attempted to become the new kings of the musical show (looking at you Rise ), none succeeded. It’s possible that the Glee p henomenon is just a once-in-a-generation sort of thing that we’ve all collectively experienced. At least for the first couple of seasons anyway. While most streaming sites are moving towards constant inflow of original content,  Amazon  finds itself in the midst of preliminary talks with Sony and Paramount on the creation of original films for Prime Video. As sites like Prime Video, Netflix, and Hulu continue to garner influence over the film industry, more and more deals of this nature may become quite commonplace. DC Universe's live-action Swamp Thing TV show seems to be getting ready to shoot, with a new rumor indicating that Underworld creator Len Wiseman will direct the pilot episode. Along with Titans and Doom Patrol , Swamp Thing will be one of the key attractions on DC Comics and Warner Bros.' new subscription service, which will also include animated series and a selection of both classic and recent comic books. Earlier this summer there was a rumor that Aquaman director James Wan would co-direct the Swamp Thing pilot along with veteran TV director Deran Serafian, but Wan's representatives quickly debunked that rumor. Now, however, it seems that another director with horror movie experience has been lined up for the show. Todd McFarlane has teased his fans once again, saying that a  Spawn   movie announcement is coming tomorrow. While McFarlane is popular with comic book fans because of his work on  Venom , he is probably most known for being the creator of the character Spawn. Created in 1992, Spawn is a hellish antihero who went by the name Albert "Al" Simmons when he was human. Simmons was formerly a United States Marine, before being promoted to a position in the CIA and becoming a skilled operative within a black ops unit. Simmons is eventually killed by his partner, after the agency discovers that he no longer thinks the CIA's actions are moral. Because he killed innocent people during his career, Simmons gets sent to hell, only to make a deal and return to Earth as a Hellspawn. Facebook Watch has released a new trailer for their upcoming original series Sorry For Your Loss , which is slated to debut Tuesday, September 18. The footage comes just days after it was announced that this new series will get a special premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival ( TIFF ), where the first four episodes will screen as part of the festival's Primetime showcase, where Amazon's Homecoming , starring Julia Roberts, will also screen its first four episodes. While Sorry For Your Loss won't be the first series to debut under the Facebook Watch platform, it may have the highest profile, with well-known stars and filmmakers bringing this show to life. Disney and Lucasfilm are giving the closest look yet at Star Wars: Resistance, through a newly released poster. The poster shows off four main characters and the familiar BB-8, all in a new, colorful animation style. Dave Filoni, who created Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, is once again behind a Star Wars spinoff. Taking place decades after Return of the Jedi and shortly before The Force Awakens , Star Wars: Resistance will take fans into a time period of the mythology that has yet to be depicted onscreen. Lois Lane is coming to the Arrowverse, and the casting breakdown has revealed crucial details about her character. Lois has been mentioned before in the Arrowverse, specifically on Supergirl . During Superman's introduction in season 2, Lois was confirmed to be his significant other, and Lois' sister and father were recurring characters in Supergirl season 1.
